Chip Whitson, left, working up songs with me in his kitchen in Spokane last month. It was a creative, intensive weekend of arranging and writing. He's got FIVE songs on the album, which is all original stuff. (photo: Jace Whitson)
I’m hoping for a great response from this, a collaboration with my old buddy and Missoula music legend Chip Whitson. Also on board are Rick Waldorf on bass (Lefty Lucy, Live Wire Choir, Full Grown Men, etc.) and the old Magnificent Bastard himself, Bob Sularz on drums. My friend Russ Parsons is adding some excellent piano work, and I have several guest vocalists, most namely the Snow Angels. The album will be packed with surprises, and hopefully you’ll be hearing cuts from it on various Missoula radio stations this holiday season.

Chip, coming up with bass parts on my little Fender Bronco bass. Playing bass barefoot is more fun. Just ask ex-Fencemender Louis Stein.
The recording process is a lot of work, lots of details to be hammered out, and just a zillion man-hours trying to polish this thing into the gem that I know it is.
The album should be available for download some time in early November, and the physical CD will hit stores in time for Black Friday. A website, offwhitechristmas.com, is also in the works.
So please check back here for more news on this and other projects.
Still hammering this website into shape, so thanks for your patience and interest in my music. Now git!
