It’s called Maximum Honky Tonk, and no one delivers it with the passion and wit of Bob Wire. Whether playing solo acoustic shows, or filling dance floors with his rocking roots band, the Magnificent Bastards, Bob Wire is one of the most energetic, entertaining, and flat-out fun live artists in the Northwest. His popular Missoula band was voted Best Local Band twice, and Bob was named Missoula’s Entertainer of the Year in 2007.
Bob has recorded three full-length CDs of all-original music. You can hear the stylistic influence of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, John Prine, Lyle Lovett, Robbie Fulks, and lesser known artists like the Beat Farmers and Jason & the Scorchers in Bob’s rocking country.
Bob strives for originality in his music, and this is quite evident in his lyrics, which paint vivid pictures of a variety of colorful characters. From the poignant father-son tale of Hotel Maximillian to the wickedly funny observations of White Trash Paradise, these songs will have you laughing, crying, and scratching your head, always to an infectious beat.
Bob and his band are available for parties, weddings, rodeos, corporate events, or any function where an exciting, engaging band is needed to entertain the crowd.
